Commissioner Carol Gladstone and the entire DCAMM team spoke to a full-house on October 21, 2016 for Conversations With...a monthly program held at the AGC MA Wellesley office. Attendees were provided with information on projects, operations, prequalification, procurement, bidding and more.
Some of the processes improvements included the addition of new staff members to assist in the timely turn- around of payments with key focus on change orders.
With a goal to give better information on future projects, the DCAMM website now offers a page with a full list of upcoming projects for design & construction. These projects are for Design/Bid/Build construction under MGL C. 149 - and typically are under $20 M, most will be under $10M.
A new delegation of authority is in place that speeds the approval process and increases the consistency of experience and a new software system will improve the timing of the entire bidding process.
We appreciate the open and extremely positive relationship between DCAMM and AGC and look forward to our continued collaboration and cooperation to implement best practices on state projects and achieve excellence in the industry!
