Event Description:
Building Continuous Improvement

In the CM-Lean courses we only got to touch on the continuous improvement methods briefly. Continuous improvement is the engine that drives your Lean journey and empowers you to handle any situation you might encounter. To lead change we must embody the change and share those experiences with others. In this session we will delve into some additional methods with a focus on modeling continuous improvement behaviors ourselves. With some discussion, exercises and practice we will look at the challenges in engaging in continuous improvement ourselves to provide perspective in coaching others and building a culture of continuous improvement in our organizations and our industry.
 Learning Objectives – Attendees will be able to:
·      Practice continuous improvement behaviors in their own work;
·      Describe tools in support of continuous improvement;
·      Identify barriers to continuous improvement

4 Hours of continuing education credits for CM-Lean Renewal
CM-Lean Renewal Requirements
As outlined in the CM-Lean Candidate Guide, the CM-Lean credential is valid for three (3) years. The CM-Lean was designed to denote knowledge and understanding of concepts related to Lean Construction adoption, practice and process transformation outlined in AGC’s Lean Construction Education Program. Because Lean Construction concepts are always evolving, individuals need to keep current with these advancements and continue their learning through continuing education.

Renewal Process for CM-Lean Holders:
  1. Prior to the three-year anniversary, the CM-Lean holder must submit thirty (30) hours of Lean Construction-related continuing education (CE) hours.
  2. Once all CE hours are submitted and approved, applicants may submit the $100.00 CM-Lean renewal fee.
  3. CM-Lean holders will receive an updated digital badge, and their credential will be valid for an additional three (3) years.
