Les Hiscoe is CEO of Shawmut, a leading $1.3 billion national construction management firm. Hiscoe’s career trajectory charts a remarkable rise through the ranks of construction management, from project manager, to vice president, to president and COO, to CEO. He grew revenue from $558 million to $1.3 billion, elevating Shawmut to a national player with ten offices nationwide.



Mike grew up in Saugus MA where he spent summers working for the family business on his father’s lobster boat. Mike studied civil engineering at WPI and graduated in ‘98 BS Civil Engineering, and ‘00 MS Construction Management. While at WPI, Mike was an intern at Nitsch Engineering and Shawmut and then accepted a full time position with Shawmut in ‘00. Mike’s project work with Shawmut includes a blend of renovations and new construction, public and private, in the education and life science markets. Mike opened Shawmut offices in New Haven, West Springfield, and Worcester.  Mike now serves as VP of Construction Operations in New England.
 
Mike is involved in various professional organizations including Policy Group on Tradeswomen Issues, Girls in Trades, and he is a board member with the Associated General Contractors MA and ACE Mentor Program Boston. Mike is a father of three daughters ages 15, 13, 11. He enjoys travel with his family and is an avid distance runner.
