Collaborative Success: Mastering GC-Sub Partnering
PURPOSE
More complex jobs, new materials, tighter budgets, materials shortages and increasingly demanding clients are making it especially important for General Contractors (GCs) and Subcontractors (Subs) to work together as effectively as possible. The purpose of this program is to respond to these issues by increasing participants’ understanding and skills to improve GC- Subs communications and bottom-line project performance.
PROGRAM
The program consists of 2 two-hour workshops spaced about a month apart. That enables you to apply program insights and skills between workshop. In Workshop 1 you’ll learn new skills and processes and plan to use them immediately on current project. In Workshop 2 you’ll track your progress, address issues, explore opportunities and plan more widespread use of what you’re learning. More specifically:
In Workshop 1 you’ll learn to:
- Understand and use the 4-part Partnering Agenda
- Actively, equally engage all your team members in meetings
- Pilot new processes to surface issues, build relationships and solve problems
In Workshop 2 you’ll follow up and move forward:
- Assessing the results of your partnering efforts
- Addressing problems, exploring opportunities
- Clarifying Lessons Learned
- Planning next steps for continuous improvement
You’ll leave the program with essential new skills and a detailed plan to use them on current and future projects.
