Event Description:
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is a comprehensive, entry-level lifesaving training program developed by the American Heart Association for individuals with little or no medical training. It prepares participants to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations by teaching essential first aid skills, how to perform CPR, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Participants will learn how to:
  • Recognize and respond to medical, injury, and environmental emergencies
  • Provide basic first aid until professional help arrives
  • Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Operate an AED safely and appropriately
  • Stop the bleed
  • Naloxone proper use
  • Assist individuals experiencing choking and opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
  • Prevent illness and injury through early action and awareness

The course reflects the latest American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care and is designed to meet OSHA-compliant training requirements for workplace safety programs. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.
