AGC MA is thrilled to announce Fran Colantonio, Chairman & CEO, Colantonio, Inc., AGC BOD Vice Chair and Stacy Roman, Sr. PM, Commodore Builders, BWiC Chair, were recently nominated by the Charlie Baker Administration for their leadership efforts in STEM education and bringing a critical perspective towards aligning State and Federal STEM policies and programs.

The official invitation to attend the State-Federal STEM Summit in Washington D.C. hosted by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy on June 25-26, 2018 was extended to both Fran and Stacy from Jeff Weld, Senior Policy Advisor and Assistant Director, STEM Education.

Alongside more than 150 like-minded colleagues from states, territories, and tribes across the nation, they will contribute to an unprecedented conversation to shape Federal support for STEM and to form a community of state STEM leaders that will have an enduring legacy. Lt. Governor Karyn Polito
recommended Fran and Stacy as two of three Massachusetts leaders to represent industry involved in school‐business partnerships.

The Summit will consist of a two-way dialogue engaging State leaders on Federal STEM education plans and the best use of Federal STEM education resources for States to scale successful STEM programs. The event begins at 5:30PM EDT on Monday, June 25, and ends at 3:00PM EDT on Tuesday, June 26*.
