On November 6, AGC hosted a meeting of the executive directors and legislative staff of 15 largest allied employer trade associations representing commercial design and construction firms in Massachusetts. This was the first such meeting in over 10 years.

Main objective: to underscore the power and influence of the industry when the groups work together on Beacon Hill. There was consensus that more issues unite than divide the industry and it is in our collective best interest to demonstrate the unity whenever possible.

The group – informally called Mass/CIC (Mass. Construction Industry Council) - will meet regularly to discuss and formulate solutions to legislative and regulatory challenges facing members and other strategies to promote/protect the interests of the commercial construction industry.

Participating Associations:

AGC MA, Chair
Boston Society of Architects (BSA)
Associated Subcontractors of MA (ASM)
American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)
