Delphi Construction Completes $50m Modular Affordable Housing Development

Multi-market Construction Company Delphi Construction announces completion of large modular construction project for leading non-profit real estate developer in Greenfield, MA.
WALTHAM MA – June 8, 2017 – Delphi Construction, Inc. Vice President, Joe Mastromatteo announced today the completion of Leyden Woods, a $50m affordable housing development in Greenfield, Massachusetts for its client, The Community Builders.
The modular construction project consisted of 200 units in 49 buildings comprising 8 courts. Design was provided by Davis Square Architects of Somerville with modular manufacturing from Simplex Homes of Scranton, PA.
“Delphi is very pleased to have turned over the eighth and final court of this large scale construction project to our client. I’d like to congratulate The Community Builders on another successful effort to provide high quality, affordable housing that strengthens the neighborhood and the community. I would also like to commend Davis Square Architects for their outstanding design work and Simplex Homes for the high quality manufacturing evident in each modular unit. Most importantly, I’d like to thank all of the project stakeholders for the spirit of teamwork and cooperation that helped make this project such a resounding success.” Mastromatteo said.
The 19.5 month project was completed on schedule with the 493rd modular unit set in place on May 9th and turnover of the final court on May 25th.
