Seventh master’s program for Wentworth Institute of Technology offers unique mix of classes, expertise

Wentworth Institute of Technology is pleased to announce the launch of its newest program, the Master of Science in Project Management, now enrolling for fall 2018. It is the seventh master’s degree program offered by the university, and the sixth in a suite of part-time master’s degrees offered through the College of Professional and Continuing Education.

“We are pleased to be able to meet the growing demand in this field,” said Deborah Wright, dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Education, “and to bring to it a mix of classes, and a level of expertise, that is uniquely Wentworth. We believe our students will emerge not only with an advanced knowledge of project management, but with a competitive edge over many of their colleagues.”

Wentworth’s Master of Science in Project Management is comprised of 10 courses including Agile Project Management, Managing Troubled Projects, Managing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Global and Virtual Project Management, and Portfolio and Program Management. Classes are taught by Wentworth Department of Management faculty, many of whom have earned Project Management Institute certification, and combine classroom learning with hands-on application.  The program is available online, enabling part-time students to complete their degree in less than two years. Knowledge and skills learned in the MSPM program are applicable in a wide range of industries including business, government, and healthcare.

In addition to Project Management, Wentworth’s College of Professional and Continuing Education also offers master’s degrees in Applied Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Facility Management, and Technology Management. Beginning this fall, the college will offer three credit-bearing certificates, including a certificate in Project Management, through which students can earn up to 20 credits toward a bachelor’s degree.

In 2017, Wentworth’s online Bachelor of Science in Project Management was named a top online bachelor’s degree program in project management by the website College Choice.
