Massport Announces Two Vacant Positions on Designer Selection Panel

Massport has reached out to AGC MA to solicit intertest in filling two vacancies on its Designer Selection Panel.
  • Representative of the Construction Industry
  • Registered Architect, Architect Emeritus, Certified Planners by the American Institute of Certified Planners or from Academia
 
Scott Bates (Erland), the current Construction Industry Representative is finishing up his second two-year term. Each Panel member is appointed for a two-year term, with the option to continue for a second two-year term. No Panel member may serve more than two consecutive terms. A former member may be reappointed after a two-year hiatus.
 
Meetings are scheduled on an as- needed basis for 2 hours based on the members’ schedules during normal working hours. On occasion, The DSP interviews consultants, and those cases, meetings could last 3-4 hours if necessary. Members receive the materials to review in advance. Designer qualification applications (proposals) are evaluated by the full Panel, and at least three or more applicants who meet all the general evaluation criteria for the project shall be selected as semi-finalists (shortlisted applicants) and proceed for final evaluation.
